The Perot Museum of Nature and Science in Dallas opened to the general public on December 1, 2012. The $185-million Perot Museum is designed by 2005 Pritzker Architecture Prize Laureate Thom Mayne and his California-based firm Morphosis Architects. The museum sits on a 4.7-acre site at 2201 N. Field Street adjacent to downtown Dallas.  The building itself is a ?living? example of engineering, sustainability and technology.  The museum has five floors of public space featuring 11 permanent exhibit halls, a state-of-the art exhibit hall, a children?s museum, 3D theater, Café, Museum Shop and one-acre Science Park.
